Come along the beautiful colonial city of Granada for one of the most popular tours in Nicaragua.
Granada known as the oldest colonial city of Mainland America, has survived pirate’s attacks, civil wars, fires and more in its rich history, since its foundation in 1524. Then enjoy a boat tour on Lake Nicaragua, the largest lake in Central America, where you can admire its 365 islets blooming with wildlife.
After your pick up from your Hotel, we will drive straight to the city of Granada. Once there, we will start this tour full of history visiting the main Plaza, which is the heart and soul of Granada. Here you will see the Local Granadinos hanging around to talk about their daily life. We will then visit La Casa de los Leones cultural center, which holds the oldest entrance of Granada. Then to continue with this cultural tour, we will visit the San Francisco museum and convent to witness the pre-Columbian statues which dated before Columbus Day. We will also visit the Ceramic museum, probably the biggest one in Nicaragua which has over 6 thousand pieces. La Merced church await for us to go up to the tower and enjoy one of the best views in town. During this tour, we will also visit La Calzada, a pedestrian street where the Locals and Foreigners get together to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.
Lunch will be held at the beautiful colonial House of La Gran Francia. After lunch, we will enjoy a short ride to cruise around the beautiful paradise called the “Islets of Granada”, an archipelago formed thousands of years ago by the Mombacho Volcano. After your boat ride, you'll be transported back to your hotel.
